TENT RENTAL AT THE BURN
We’ve had a few quotes through for tent rental at the Burn. There are options for big communal stretch tents as well.
OPTION 1
Dome Tent
approx $340 per tent)
each Dome tent includes 2 of the following:
single 75mm thick mattress
Fitted sheet
Flat sheet
Pillow

Knife, fork, spoons, cup, plate
OPTION 2
Four Dome Tents under stretch tent
approx $ 580 AUD per tent
Each dome tent rental under a stretch includes:

2 Bell Tents Under Stretch
Total = R26,484
Divided by 2 = R13,242 (approx $ 1,090 AUD per tent)
Each bell tent rental under a stretch includes:
king mattress or 2 X single 150mm thick mattress

1 x Blanket for king or 2 single - bring extra bedding

OVERLANDER BUS
This bus can transport 24 people and their luggage to and from the Burn. It comes with aircon, a kitchen, tables etc.

Here’s the list of equipment:

ITINERARY
Thursday 18th April
Arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa (if you're keen to arrive earlier, go for it, and explore a little).
Friday 19th April
Arrival at Kruger Gate Hotel in the Kruger Park. Choose your own method of transport up there - either fly to Skukuza, or hire a vehicle in Johannesburg and drive.
Tuesday 23rd April
Travel from Kruger Park to Cape Town. You can fly direct from Skukuza, or return to Johannesburg and fly from there. We'll be spending just under a week here - plenty of time for tourism, exploration and some Burn preparation. Rent a car, team up to get an Airbnb (they're dirt cheap) and enjoy the magic of the Mother City. We'll arrange a few communal events but this part is mostly up to you.
Monday 29th April
Head to Afrika Burn. The plan is to join forces and run a theme camp (we need this to guarantee tickets) while keeping things as low effort as possible. Plenty more details still to come. For now, you probably want to look into things like car rental for this time period. Some people are renting RVs but to be honest it's not really necessary at this Burn.
Monday 6th May
Leave Afrika Burn, head somewhere beautiful for decompression. We are thinking the Cape Winelands, perhaps Franschoek. Some might choose to do something else, others might need to get back to Australia, this part is still pretty loose right now.
Thursday 9th May
Fly Cape Town to Johannesburg, and then back to Australia (or maybe stay on for a bit longer, there is so much to do in this country!)
